Welcome!
This site is the way my dad (Phil Sr.) and I (Phil Jr.) can share our love of Triumph Sportscars with you.
It all began back in 1963 when dad bought his first 1956 TR3. After getting married, he sold the TR3 for a 1956 Chevy,
thinking parts would be easier to get. Of course, he almost immediately missed his TR3 (especially after the
Chevy threw a rod a year later).
{UPDATE: We found paperwork which indicates the original VIN of this car was TS9169LO. It was last seen near Ralla Missouri. Have you seen this car?}
In the early 1970's he purchased three 1956/57 TR3's in various stages of decay. He began disassembly and sorting and
by the winter of 1974, he had enough salvagable parts to begin recreating his 1956 TR3 of old.
Unfortunately, he only started taking photos about halfway through the project.
Click Here to view those pictures and his and my comments.
Meanwhile, I've started the restoration of my 1954 TR2.
Here is a photo of it as it was when I purchased it (after driving from Michigan to Texas over the long 4th of July weekend - pictures from that trip will be added sometime soon too).
Click the photo above or Here to see my progress (and comments).
After that I'll start restoring my 1956 TR3.
You can also view my photos from The Roadster Factory's 1998 Summer Party Here
Finally, click Here to view the cover of the April 1954 Issue of Road & Track. On the cover is a Geranium TR2 (and April 1954 is when my TR2 was "born").
